Irving ISD serves one of the most diverse student populations in North Texas, with families from all over the world settling around Las Colinas and the urban core. Diverse classrooms are a strength — but they also mean special education staff stretch across an enormous range of student needs.
For 2026–27, awarded homeschool/other students have a $2,000 maximum. Students attending a participating private school may receive $10,474, or up to $30,000 with a qualifying IEP.
