Amarillo is the Panhandle's hub city — Amarillo ISD in town, Canyon ISD to the south — and for specialized pediatric services, it's the only game for a hundred miles in any direction. Panhandle families are used to driving for everything.
For 2026–27, awarded homeschool/other students have a $2,000 maximum. Students attending a participating private school may receive $10,474, or up to $30,000 with a qualifying IEP. The program determines the award; a diagnosis alone does not establish the higher amount. Check the official Texas family guidance before budgeting for tutoring.

Questions from Amarillo Parents
Do you offer in-person tutoring in Amarillo? ▼
Our tutoring is delivered online, which means your child has access to specialized tutors regardless of location. Many families find online sessions more convenient — no commute, and your child learns in a comfortable environment.
Can you work with my child's Amarillo ISD IEP? ▼
Absolutely. Share your child's ARD documents and IEP goals with us, and we'll align tutoring sessions to support those objectives. We can also provide progress notes for your ARD meetings.
When can Amarillo families start using TEFA? ▼
TEFA funds became available on July 1, 2026, so approved families can start right away. Schedule a consultation and we'll match your child with a tutor — sessions can begin as soon as you select us in Odyssey.
We're an hour outside Amarillo. Does rural internet handle sessions? ▼
Almost always, yes — sessions run fine on ordinary home broadband or even a strong cellular hotspot, and we keep the tech simple: one link, no special software. If your connection has quirks, we'll test it together before the first session.
