Texas TEFA Tutoring is operated by Special Ed Resource, a nationwide special needs tutoring company with over 12 years of experience serving families of students with learning differences.

We've delivered more than 100,000 tutoring sessions to students with autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning challenges. Our team of 40+ certified tutors understands what it takes to help special needs students succeed.

For 2026–27, awarded homeschool/other students have a $2,000 maximum. Students attending a participating private school may receive $10,474, or up to $30,000 with a qualifying IEP. The program determines the award; a diagnosis alone does not establish the higher amount. Check the official Texas family guidance before budgeting for tutoring.
