What is TEFA?
The Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) program gives families direct control of education funding to use for private tutoring, therapy, curriculum, and more.
2026–27 award for accepted students attending a participating private school.
Requires a qualifying IEP and attendance at a participating private school. The program determines the amount; the maximum is not guaranteed.
2026–27 maximum for awarded homeschool/other students, including students with disabilities.
